Safely operates the Newport News trolley bus in accordance with applicable City, State, and Federal regulations and traffic laws. Prioritizes passenger safety at all times;ensures appropriate passenger standards of conduct while riding the trolley bus;executes passenger evacuation procedures during emergency situations;assists individuals with disabilities with the wheelchair lift and ensures proper safety measures and restraints in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Serves as a subject matter expert on the city's trolley processes. Serves as a frontline point of contact to uphold the delivery of quality customer service;courteously provides general information to passengers including driving routes, schedules, and destination information. Makes public address announcements in compliance with ADA regulations.
